Yes, the furniture is supposed to be in the road! During the pedestrian-only days in the popular Ginza shopping district, chairs and tables are put out in the middle of the road to rest weary travellers and shoppers in the summer heat. A group of friends take a little time-out on their travels and rest up for a while.
